We test the client, the device, and the trust boundary between the app and your backend, so your team fixes real user data risk before it reaches production. Every finding is exploited on a real device, ranked by impact, and written so an engineer can act on it the same day.
What we actually test
A store review checks the manifest. It cannot tell you that a session token sits in plaintext on a rooted device, or that certificate pinning falls to a trivial hook, or that the API trusts a client side role flag. That is the work.
- Local storage and data at rest: tokens, credentials, caches, keychain and keystore handling, backup exposure
- Transport security: TLS validation, certificate pinning, and pinning bypass under instrumentation
- Reverse engineering resistance: root and jailbreak detection, tampering, hooking, and secret extraction from the binary
- Runtime and client side controls: the logic an attacker rewrites once the app runs on their device
- Authentication and the backend API: session lifecycle, authorization, and the mobile to API trust boundary
What you get
- Live findings the moment we confirm them, not a PDF weeks later
- Exploitable risk ranked by real impact, with proof, so you fix what matters first
- Remediation guidance your engineers can ship, not a generic reference link
- Free retest and verified closure once the fix is deployed
- An auditor ready report mapped to SOC 2, ISO 27001 and customer security reviews
Outcomes
- Protect sensitive user data on the device and in transit
- Validate the mobile to API trust boundary so the client cannot be believed by default
How the engagement runs
You buy a pool of testing hours and spend them where the risk is, across this and your other surfaces. We scope the app, exploit manually on real devices, surface findings live, prioritize by impact, report for each audience, and retest until closure is proven. No blind box, no theatre.
